Somebody’s Portrait, il ritratto di qualcuno, qualcuno l’ha fatto, qualcuno se l’è fatto fare. Forse una persona importante, facoltosa, i ritratti non sono certo per tutti. Una persona ugualmente dimenticata. Non si tratta di privare queste persone della loro identità o di rubarne la storia personale, si tratta di rendere eterno l’attimo, non in quanto persona ma in quanto soggetto-oggetto.
Il paradosso del lavoro di Vincenzo è che non è possibile salvare le singole storie perché non ci appartengono, ma è l’oggetto in quanto tale che rimane, ricompreso nel grande vortice della storia collettiva.

The portrait of someone, someone has done it, someone had it made for himself. Maybe someone important, wealthy, the portraits are certainly not for everyone. A person equally forgotten. Is not about to deprive these people of their identity or to steal personal history, it comes to perpetuate the moment, not as a person but as a subject-object.
The paradox of the work of Vincenzo is that it is not possible save individual stories because they do not belong to us, but it is the object as such that remains, as part of the large vortex of collective history.
