AnThROPOS
Studi antropologici che si mescolano a quelli sociali insieme ad un tentativo di classificazione “entomologica”, studi empirici e imperfetti. Un sottile gioco sul significato del titolo, che oscilla tra l’uomo (Anthropos, in greco) e il suo ineluttabile destino (Atropos, una delle tre Moire della mitologia greca che aveva il compito di recidere il filo della vita), accompagnato da un lungo codice numerico identificativo, precede la visione di queste opere che, a prima vista, ricordano le cassette entomologiche per la raccolta ordinata degli insetti. Invece, in bella mostra, ci sono serie di volti allineati, collezioni di soggetti umani, classificazioni di tipologie ordinate per dimensioni e tipo. Ancora una volta, i soggetti non sono altro che oggetto d’indagine.

Anthropological and social studies mixed, along with an attempt of "entomological" classification; empirical and imperfect studies. A subtle game on the meaning of the title, which oscillates between man (Anthropos, in greek) and his inevitable fate (Atropos, one of the three Moirai in Greek mythology who had the task of cutting the thread of life), accompanied by a long numeric code, precedes the vision of these works which, at first sight, resemble the entomological boxes for the tidy collection of insects. Instead, on display, there are a series of faces lined up, collections of human subjects, classifications of typologies ordered by size and type. Again, the subjects are nothing more than an object of investigation.
